A hybrid that sits nowhere is a frequency orphan
It is supposed to live in the gap a 4-iron abandoned and a 5-wood never honestly filled. When it does neither, players lengthen the swing. We would rather tick the tube first.
We capture it during the iron visit, on purpose
A hybrid add-on is ten extra minutes on a Neighbor Match, not a separate philosophy. Same 5.5-inch clamp, same 300-gram mass, a note on the sheet for head mass because hybrid heads vary wildly and the number moves with them. What we will not do is draw a pretty line from your 5-iron through the hybrid into the 3-wood and call it a “bag frequency.” Those three clubs are not a stair. They are a junction.
If the hybrid reads closer to a 3-iron than a 4, Darnell will say so. Recutting a tip can walk it toward the hole you actually need. Changing the flex letter on a box and hoping is how the orphan got here.

- A new head went on an old tube last winter
Bad reasons
- You want us to watch you hit it on grass we do not have
- You want it “matched” to the driver
- The head rattles and you want a number anyway
